Hosting over 150 interns annually, the programme offers practical experience, skill development, career exploration, networking opportunities, academic credit, mentorship, and potential for full-time employment, helping to shape the next generation of tourism professionals.
Mentorship Programme
The Mentorship Programme pairs promising Barbadian youth (ages 11-17) with exemplary employees to promote personal and professional growth. By engaging with community groups, youth organisations and learning centres, this initiative aims to positively impact the community and support the development of young individuals.

This programme is designed to provide comprehensive support to partner schools through various activities and initiatives. Workshops with BYAC
The Barbados YouthADVANCE Corps trainees participated in a work experience programme at O2 Beach Club & Spa, where they learned about various hospitality roles through hands-on demonstrations with experienced staff. The programme included activities such as bed-making, cocktail preparation, customer service simulations, and insights into career opportunities, with a focus on the internship opportunities offered by Ocean Hotels.
