National Disabilities Unit

We are proud to collaborate with associations such as the National Disabilities Unit to support individuals with diverse abilities. Recently, we had the opportunity to attend a workshop where we provided first-hand interview experience and valuable tips to participants, helping them navigate the job application process with confidence. Additionally, we were honoured to extend an internship offer to one of the participants with a visual impairment, who successfully joined our HR department during our Christmas internship cohort, demonstrating their skills and contributing to our team. This partnership highlights our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible workplace.

Book Donations

We’ve connected with neighboring schools to donate over 100 story books and reference materials to expand the imaginations of students. We also continue to partner with local charity, ‘The Variety Club Barbados’, which provides school uniforms, books, backpacks, and school supplies to over 300 children from 200 families across Barbados.

As part of the ‘Pack for A Purpose’ initiative, guests are encouraged to use extra space in their luggage to travel with school supplies which are then donated to this charity.

Walk for the Cure

Each year, we proudly kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, uniting with our community to fight for a cure. The CIBC First Caribbean Walk for the Cure sees our team marching in solidarity, showing support for those battling breast cancer.

Our commitment is reflected in our participation, where we sport the logoed t-shirts and contribute over 100 donations to the cause.

We are honoured to join forces with local organisations to make a meaningful impact, raising awareness and supporting ongoing research and advocacy for those affected by breast cancer.
